Go nuclear? It will take a couple of months but they will succeed in this aim without a doubt if US won't back them up in serious case.

That will change the status quo surely and end up Chinese little game 100%.

So after getting nuclear what are they going to do ? Attack China? Well Japan is at disadvantage here She comprises of slender land and doesn't have the depth

Couple nuclear power will rendered Japan inhabitable Just see what happened with Fukushima nuclear plant just small release of radioactive make the whole section of north west Japan in habitable

If I'm not mistaken those were ther words of high US official when he met with Xi Jinping recently so I wouldn't count that out from overall equation.

If Chinese think that they can push Japan to it's limits of resources then why Japanese can't think about the same way? Tell me one reason (aside from 'Japan is under US administartion') why they would not do that? What if there's encounter in East China Sea with Chinese aircraft going down above Senkaku Islands? Japan standidng all alone without US backup?

If you're thinking they don't take that as possibility you're wrong. Japan or South Korea ain't no Philippines or Vietnam for that matter. You can't push them around like it's nothing. Take that into account.

I know PRC would hate this move as it would be game changing in the Pacific Ocean.

When times come to war like Chinese taking over Senkaku Islands there would be no reason for Japan to back down in such circumstances... In conventional attack Japan can't stand up against Chinese superiority in numbers over it's quality without being backed up by the US. What if that wouldn't happen? Changing Japanese constitution would be a laugh when those times would come.

I sure hope the Japanese decision-makers don't think the same way you do. I also seriously doubt that Japan will go nuclear. The civilians, for one, won't allow it, especially after Fukishima.

LOLOL If China flies aircraft over Diaoyu and Japan responds with a nuclear weapon, then China will end up with a lot more than just some little islands. You clearly are living in your dream if you think that a nuclear Japan changes anything. Without China and Russia, does a nuclear North Korea change the game against the US? LOL What's the difference between Japan and the Philippines/Vietnam? Japan's economy is shrinking and the Filipino/Vietnamese one is growing LOL

The leash got so comfortable you forgot who is holding it, didn't you?
It must be, since it has been 71 years already, long enough time to wear diapers again. LOL.

Your sophisticated jokes are too good...

??? Who said that civilians will have anything to say in this matter? And what kind of argument is that? Japanese won't be detonating nuclear warheads over Tokyo but Chinese might come to such ideas. According to your logic Japanese should protest against Chinese nuclear arsenal...

And shows how much you have not paid attention to the vid and post.
If you compare with what the retired general described with the procedure shown in the vid you'll see it is identical in which you can approximate at which point the PLAAF plane headed towards the JASDF.

What do we get from retired general? We know nothing for sure except the involved aircraft were F-15 and Su-30, F-15 trying to line up (or trying to get to six of Su-30 acorrding to some source), Su-30 take maneuver (defensive or offensive again accorrding to different source), F-15 leave after poping flare. There are so many things left mystery to us and you seems so sure it's "identical". Also in the vid they were intercepting a MPA when in this case it was fighters which did use it's maneuvering capability. I'm sure it's pretty much different in procedure and policy.
