Here is some tid-bits that had been reported within the vid.

The applicants are between the age of 19 to 26.
They had doubled the amount of acceptance to 143 cadets three years ago when the government had announced they will enlarge the sub fleet to 22 from 16.
They also relaxed some of the physical qualifications particularly in vision as you can see a lot of cadets are wearing glasses.
Sub Academy lasts for four month with the last month training on a real sub as you can see in the latter half of the vid.
After graduation they are stationed at various sub related facilities waiting for their assignment on a real sub.
The vid show the enlisted men in training as you can see they were all wearing sailor dress uniform and not an officer uniform at graduation.

The thing they train shown in the vid is the basics in how to maneuver a sub to dive and surface. As all subs all around the world they are required to vocally announce what procedures they are doing so everyone else knows exactly at what stage they are initiating.
The most important thing the drill master is shouting is that a single mistake will endanger not only yourself but all that are stationed in that boat and if you can't handle that pack up and leave.

three years ago when the government had announced they will enlarge the sub fleet to 22 from 16.
22 Combat or training SSK for what year ? i have read combat.
And why don' t keep some Harushio which have only 20 years and is a good sub for increase more fast SSK fleet ?

17 Combat SSK now with 6th Soryu commisionned today the Kokuryu SS-506 in more Harushio, Fuyushio SS-588/TSS-3607 for training retired.
Stay now for training 1 Harushio AIP to Kure.

Kokuryu based to Yokosuka as the last, four first to Kure.

Some of the aches and pains of supporting a sub building industry.
There will be one Soryu type to be commissioned every year till 2019 making the sub fleet into 22 subs (1 Harushio type for training, 11 Oyashio type which are all going through mid-life extension maintenance, 10 Soryu type).
Another Soryu type sub, Jinryu (じんりゅう)SS-507 is scheduled to be commisioned in March 2016 and another one to be launched in October this year.

Interesting details 22 with 4 new Soryu for 2019.
But if Navy had retained a number of Harushio could easily have up to 25 SSK but then crew number problem.

One new by year except last year a very young fleet actualy 18 which have max 20 years !

Seems Soryu is armed with 30 weapons in this case it is the most powerful SSK in the world ( others max 24 ) can you confirm ?

Now waiting Izumo :D

Sorry but no there are no data that would confirm your claim.

On the other hand here is another interesting blog that blew my mind since it basically confirms claims that Soryu type has an extremely deep crush depth based on the type of steel used for the hull.

There had been independent claims that the Soryu type operation depth is around 600M with crush depth close to 900M.
I found them doing on some research on the next generation after the Soryu.

Although it is a private blog without any backing within this blog it claim the same operation depth.

It also talks about the power train in which he claims it will be a diesel+lithium ion batteries+fuel cell.
The biggest claim is the fuel cells will generate 700kW to 1,000kW of electricity.
This can be verified with present large scale fuel cell by Mitsubishi Heavy.

The dimension shown within the link is 12.0×3.2×3.2 M. So it will fit in the next generation boat by extending the length to 90m.
