Ok now i've been itching to ask this question: What is this bulge on the tail wing of J-35? some ECM componenet? or a result of CFD simulation resulting in a better laminar/turbulent air flow?

I wonder why the actuator isn't installed inside the tail boom which should have more room than the vertical stablizer.

I think the official line has been pushing J-35 in the past few months as it is ramping up Shenyang production capacities. It would be really ironic and funny if there is no J-10 of any variants in the pending 9/3 parade, particularly in the context in which J-10CE has become the most famous Chinese military export globally. On the other hand, the Chinese government also worries about technical leaks from export destination to third-party countries. Exporting J-35AE vis-a-vis J-10CE is going to be an interesting show to watch in the coming years ...
