Note: Thank you to "marchpole" for the higher-resolution picture.
The vertical tail is an obvious CG. Such a configuration would not be stable. In fact, I doubt it is structurally feasible. And why? The junction of the moving tail and the root is far from stealthy, and that root will create all sorts of turbulence any time the vertical tail is displaced away from center.
All common criticisms so far has nothing to with the design of the plane, mainly disbiefs, the pics are PS and CG..etc.. The impulses are to disengage rather engage.
It does not even matter that some people choose to not believe that the J-20 new generation fighter really does exist. We know that it exists and the other small number of critics can say what they want. That still does not mean the aircraft does not exist because they only say it doesn't. I am 100 percent convinced that it does in fact exist. So the critics have no influences on my opinions - It does exist !!! And I agree with Dieno on this matter of the Chinese new generation fighter called the J-20.So You really think this is a huge PLAAF-organised hoax only to fool some stupid enthusiasts ??? ... so they are pulling a mock-up over the taxiways and working on CG's in different angles ...
O.k.
Are you here on the J-XX thread just to troll?
Geez think about it man What do you think might happen if the Russians decide that the Chinese plane is a threat as well as stealing the limelight from their 5th gen aircraft. Prior to Red Moon's views" I felt it its a perfectly legitimate viewpoint, if indeed they are relying on the 117S engine, especially in the preliminary/development stages.
Perhaps the reason the F-22, PAK-FA and J-XX all have high mounted wings as opposed to the YF-23's middle mounted wings is because as I understand it, high wing designs are more structurally durable?
