Well if you read that forum, it's posters from a certain country that advocate that all the time. And like I said, it always comes after news break of some advancement China has made.
MAKS and PAK FA has taken their attention
can't blame them, the Russians sure know how to do great air shows
the pics and vids are breathtaking, and the plane itself(them) is beautiful
let's not get too much into J-20 coverage and attention and those sort of stuffs, it's earned it's place well in the 5th generation league, i think it is well received, those who have an axe to grind will always bash it, and they are not worth anyone's time
about forums, i'm eagerly waiting for f-16.net to give J-20 and T-50 their own subsections

I'm still waiting for a chinese aircraft to be featured in an ace combat game, I was hoping the emergence of j-20 could let Chinese aircraft be accepted by the mass public, or something close to that.
The new upcoming one has t-50 as the antagonist's super plane.

Just noticed that you posted the article on defencetalk too Blitz... wow was MIG upset...
One of my friends actually showed a USAF F-15 pilot the article and he had no bones to pick with it except that there were a few grammatical errors and found the basic premise plausible. He also showed it to Gambit on PDF who commended our efforts and agreed with some of the premises of the paper... (believe me it means a lot).

Wow...I am an awful awful person. The moment I saw article, and Mig, I instantly went to defencetalk to see the collateral. Do we know if the original article had citations?
It was basically Dr. Song's paper dumbed down for laypeople. Do you want the original link to the article on CD?
The link would be nice (or I can dig it up from the mig threads). I just haven't had the time to read it. Technical Chinese is not my strong suit so I tend to be slower with those things.

Although I think Sweetman, like most other Western analysts, underestimated the manoeuvrability of the J-20 I still agree with some of his analysis about the J-20's role. I am inclined to think that the ability to target high value none-replaceable assets like enemy AWAC will be a pretty big priority (at the same level as air to air combat against enemy fighters). What do you guys think of this?
