Another F22 crashed, that's why I always say if they can deploy J20 by 2016, it has a good chance of becoming the first operational stealth fighter in the world.

how do you cut carbon fibre? laser?
I recall old issue of aviation week and technology,Boeing constructed large (concave?) oven same length as 747 wing . just to "cook"
large single pieces carbon fibre .

Not with lasers, which tend to burn the material.

Carbon fiber is generally cut with water-jets.

Just my 2 cents.

Advice noted and thank you. But I don't believe this is fanboy stuff. What sources do you demand or expect when discussing Chinese military stuff? If you meant a web site link, there certainly is one for this. But I feel reluctant to openly share it because of the inevitable fanboy talk in such forums (You know, around each big shrimp there are always a handful or a dozen of fanboys. And I sure hate the BR type of asses anywhere, probably as much as you do)... And for those who read Chinese, they can easily find the these sites anyway. :)

P.S. I would rather have such leaks than BR type of useless "factual analyses"...
BR?
oh and I agree...even though they aren't like "sources completely confirmed", hearing news like these always get us really excited..so please keep 'em coming.

Also it took me a while to grasp my mind around this...but apparently "silk", or 絲帶, which they're referring to all the time, is just chinglish for "stealth". (sounds roughly the same)

And if all is true, then WS-15 will possess much greater thrust than F-22's F119, perhaps making it a more lethal 5th gen Air Superiority fighteer...(considering the other S also go beyond the F22)

It's memespeak. A lot of puns and synonyms being used nowadays, sometimes to dodge the censors.

assuming what's been told to be true, this explains why we see the 611 and 601 popping out like daisies. here we have our equivalence of yf-22 and fy-23 if we may say.

Well, I heard that if you stare at it long enough, you will eventually start to understand something... Kind of like getting some message from E.T. or hearing something from someone... :D

激光成型技术制造 is actually a type of 3D printing. Essentially, they are printing turbine disks and load bearing structures of aircraft.

is an official promotion video.

I think you are right. I actually saw a video clip online a couple of days ago, talking about this technology by a Chinese scientist who I remember had spent some time in the USA and said something like we just followed the Americans on these things.

BR = The Bharat Rakshak forum, notorious/famous for its super intellectual members' super analytical capabilities and mental self-pleasuring habit. You go there, you'd find that those people highly enjoy inbreeding any news or information in their own little universe.

丝带 on the other hand actually comes from 四代, meaning the forth generation (fighter). Remember that what the world has come (after the Russians started it) to call the 5th gen. fighters are officially called the 4th gen. in China? So J-20 and 31001 are both called 4th Gen. fighters by the Chinese.
