Really, I'd love to see that, I would be very suprised if they don't have a flying display of some type this year. I would imagine they are exstatic with the reception the J-20 is receiving, especially those of us who are fan boys on Sino D. They will likely be very carefull with their only bird, unless as player surmised, they may have a couple stashed. Now before you Flanker fans jump on me, yes I have seen the su-37 super manueverability, and yes I am impressed, and before you tell me how much mo betta they are than the Raptor, yes, yes, and yes, but Max has pointed out on airshow buzz that he never "departed the aircraft", nor would he depart the aircraft, if he were allowed to do so, as that would put the aircraft and crowds at some risk. Yes I know the Flanker fellows do depart the aircraft, and yes it is awsome and looks crazy, "IT IS", but as Max pointed out, everything he does in the flying display, has a basis in a tactical use of the aircraft. So if we see the J-20 in a flying display, I would like to point out, it is a prototype, we have definitive proof at present of only one extant, and hopefully, we'll see 2002 or 2003 or 2004 or 5. The fact that the PlAAF appear to be actively marketing their airplane to their fellow citizens and to you and I on Sino Defense, is both interesting, encouraging, and hopefull. To hear the fellows watching the flying display is to hear how excited they are, I can't understand a word their saying, but they sound like all boys at airshows no matter what their age. I would bet they are proud as well they should be, the fact that the J-20 is not only new, but somewhat unique is exciting as well. As siege points out, these are referred to as Combat Manuever Tests, or airshow display for short. Just Joking.

Yeah, I'm just pullin your leg, no one would take a prototype on an overwater flight, and your exactly right, it far to valuable to lose, it would'nt surprise me to see a Chengdu factory flying display, and honestly, we are already seeing that! I think since Pak-Fa flew at MACS 2011, there is likely some desire to display their own fifth gen. In all honesty Bltizo, have we ever seen anyone develop an aircraft of this caliber in public? I jokingly called this the Chengdu flying circus, all we need is VonRichtofen, to come out and do some inverted flat spins. Now pinch yourself and ask yourself this question, why do I know more about the J-20 than I've ever known about any state of the art fighters developement, especially one that stealthy? Ten years ago, this kind of info could have gotten you shot, just joking, this is a wildly succesfull marketing campaign, but we're not sellin airplanes. AAhhhhh Yeesss and, while we've got the wheels turning, let me remind you that we only flew the f117 wobblin goblin at night.
