Nice video assassin, you guys might be carefull my computer caught a bug off of an earlier video and was down about a week, I never get those, I run quite a bit of security, but I did this time and had to call my tech. He burned the op sytem down and reinstalled, with some upgrade to memory, but my flight sim is still not up to speed, so I have been waiting to load a couple of aircraft. The C-130 from capt sim takes a lot of memory as does the acceleration pak. The J-20 does rotate and lift off fairly quickly, I believe if I recall when the Air Force had first received the F-15, they stripped one down for project streak eagle, in which they broke several time to climb records. If memory serves they stated that it lifted off in about 400 ft, I will check that, as its been 35 years or so, but the aircraft was stripped down for the record attempt. Did any one ever hear whether or not the J-20 was getting vectored thrust, as I was reading several old posts on this thread someone had questioned that due to the effectiveness of the canard, horizontal stab combination?

I have McAfee and have never had any problem. I sometimes get warnings from pop-ups from those sites. But I don't think I've ever been infected by those sites.

When I talk about an increase in peak wattage, I only mean for specific detection modes; you only need to burst a high-energy signal for less than a second to achieve "peak wattage". And that does not necessarily generate high heat; as long as you make the burst short enough.

It doesn't necessarily have to mean an increase in tracking range, all that's needed is a significant increase in detection range. You get that, you pack in an AWACS-killer missile, and blam, you have a dead AWACS. It would also be useful as a way to burn through jamming; if you have a bunch of ambiguous signals, a few bursts at high peak wattage, then you can confirm which of your signals are ghosts and which of your signals are actually aircraft, then switch back to the normal emissions mode.

I suppose it's the opposite of low-probability of intercept radar, but it could be useful.

Regarding the radome, as I've mentioned before, the radome size would be very useful. If we know precisely what the radome dimensions are, we can get an estimate of the radar dimensions then extrapolate a likely radar detection range based on known technologies.

Radome size only narrows down the possible radar size to a limited degree (less than whatever the radome size allows), it doesn't actually tell us about the radar that it uses other than how big it can't be.

For example, the Su-35's radome is actually larger than the actual radar itself. Carlo Kopp noted this when he commented about the Su-35's ability to upsize it's radar array in comparison to the superbug's inability to do so any further (IIRC, the superbug's radar fits snuggly with it's radome).

In fact, a Russian Air Colonel, "Grisha", can be read about using the Irbis-E's high peak wattage to fry the electronics of enemy planes. Another useful function, so long as you can get in range and combine that with LPI and other masks.
