The question that seems to be avoided is is the F-22 that stealthy. Yeah on paper. There are probably many reasons why it wasn't exported beyond the "official" explanations. I think it says a lot that soon after the J-20 was unveiled there were already claims that the US already knew how to defeat it and all of the sudden stealth wasn't as omnipotent as the hype anymore. Why? Most likely the US did and obviously would test the F-22's vulnerabilities and displaced what they discovered onto the J-20. If it were flying around a lot and had been exported where they would be flying near potential enemies, they could learn to exploit those vulnerabilities that the US knew of already. Just like the allies during the first Gulf War said they saw the F-117 on their radars, just imagine if it was exposed that the F-22 wasn't as stealthy as advertised.

Most countries that produces high tech equipment and weaponry usually don't export their very best to anyone, even close allies. You think China would export their J-20 to Pakistan someday? In my mind probably in the future China will export a more affordable stealth fighter, perhaps a stealth JF-17 version type. It all depends how much CAC or SAC wants to put their money for research and development.

It depends on what it means by peak power. Technically, peak power does not necessarily mean constant max power output that's continuous for some time period. Usually the everyday news sources aren't the most accurate when it comes to reporting this sort of details unless they did a good job of just quoting correctly the details that was revealed. But then what and how reliable is the original source?

And most reporter don't know what they are talking about anyway, they always got it wrong of billion and million for example

Well it just says something that they didn't export a lesser version.

EDIT: What I should have said was "I think I figured out exactly where along the nose the radome is".

^ what?

Theres barely any indication of a nose cone separation? Unless you're pointing out the obvious?

When I uploaded them the picture shrank. It's very faint but if you look closely you see a separation. Refer back to the originals, since they're bigger. XP
