ARES should probably check their sources lol. Hiring a photoshop expert would probably be a good start.

Interesting that I've seen more on the Chinese side that says it's a PSed image. When I first saw that I thought PSed. It looks like it was taken and manipluated from the pic posted on Bltizo's post of the F-22. Yet now aviationweek throws this out there.

When it comes to cutting-edge reporting on Chinese defense projects, western publications are always behind the curve in that what they report is based almost exclusively on web leaks and forum postings. Given that these publications need to be proofed, edited and then printed (i know it does not seem that way at times, but I would expect this to be done), and most publications are monthly, what you read in western magazines and publications are always behind the curve of what we as a forum knows or suspects.

I am scratching my head to think of the last time any western publication had a real exclusive scoop, and all I can come up with was the revelation about the PL12 being dual mode revealed during an interview with LiaoYing reps at an air show.

These western publications simply do not have the kind of connections and access to Chinese defense officials and companies as even many of the 'big shrimps', so I only ever treat what they report with more weight than the average forum posting unless what they are reporting came from a direct interview given to them.

It's most definitely photoshopped, aviationweek has proven time and again they don't know shiz about the J-20. Isn't Sweetman still insisting that it's a 23 meter long striker/interceptor? With that said, it doesn't mean that the J-20 hasn't started or isn't about to start weapons testing. It's just that this fake photo doesn't say anything about it.

Nice to see it's very flush and doesn't have much clutter so it won't reflect much radar.
