I'm more worried about the angles taken from the photos. As these were taken by fans, this meant their location and positions aren't fixed, and therefore can be anywhere and varying. Even if they did take it from the same angles, now the burden lies on the J-20. It can also be anywhere and not necessarily the same spot for both photos. It may not be at the same place at it was yesterday. Even if it is the same location that it parked, there are also no guarantees if it was slightly closer to the camera today than it was yesterday.
Lastly, the same goes to the truck. it can be slightly closer to the cockpit today than yesterday, and all that is sufficient to cause misreadings of distances between the shots, the angles, and the sizes of the objects.
Unless everything else in the environment were held constant, it is no controlled setting, therefore it's much harder to compare, and no guarantees of what we'll receive.
That is exactly it, and we don't yet have any picture that fulfills those requirements. However, I suspect that because those pictures we taken with a telephoto lense at a distance, differentials from object distance scaling and perspective might be mitigated.

:(

Come on ... do we need to repeat that discussion again ??
Yes, both of You have Your arguments, pros a& cons and but I think we won’t solve that mystery of the J-20’s dimensions until CAC published the exact data and both of You won’t persuade the other one.

As such … please not again.

Did anyone see this?

perspective really screw the length of the weapon bay there

and i hope they change the MLG bay, it' sticking out like a sore thumb

so can we confirm that it's a two piece door main weapon bay now?

Yeah there were photos a few months back confirming the F-22 style main weapons bay.

can you show the picture if it's not too much of a hassle? or maybe just the post

from what it looks in A.Man's pic, it is different from the F-22

the width of the door suggests that it does not fold like the F-22

No it clearly does fold. The width of the door only looks very wide because it's hard to discern where the fuselage ends and where the door begins.
Also you can tell there are folding lines from previous pics of the J-20's underside:

Here's the pic from a few months ago I was talking about, far clearer and easier to judge width of the bay, and you can even see the additional piece folding horizontally but it's so small and blurry it looks like a shadow.

Also, if it looks like the bay door does not fold like the F-22's, it's due to camera angle and bad resolution, as well as the relatively small width of the inner bay door "fold" (not sure how to describe it)

Here's a photo of the F-22 and you can see how thin the "inner door fold" is.
