Simply amazing !!! :O

So what we're actually seeing is a J-20 with camouflage patterns? That's what it looks like in the 2nd picture. And someone with engine knowledge should definitely shed light on the blue flame. Although russian engines are known for it, the Chinese could have gone down a similar path when designing the WS-1x...though yeah, we need someone knowledgeable

What are the chances that it's a "F"-117 style intentional misdirection? I think the canards make that less likely too though.

I thought that "F"-117 was less a intentional misdirection than a way to get the fighter pilots to fly a bomber.

That is simply the shadow cast by the canards.

I thought exhause colours are dependent on the temperature, so reddish flame for lower temp, and bluish for higher, since aviation fuels are the same.

Well my completely uninformed opinion is that the colour of the AB on the Flankers seems to be more like yellowish than blue , BUT there are some pics outthere of PAK-FA showing blueish exhaust from the engines ( can't tell if in AB or not)

Maybe the engines are Izd.117S (14 500kgf) and that silverish nozzle finnish helps with heat dissipation (as suggested by someone a while ago )?

Correct. I know on an Tomcat, Phantom or Vigilante when you see blue exhaust you know that afterburner has kicked in. Blue denotes a very high temperature.

At sea aboard USS John C. It's also the same for bunsen burners during my high school chem class, a yellow flame for lower temp and blue for higher temp.
