From another forum post. I did remember comming across news that said J-20 techs have space station/craft applications:

j20 have EODAS 360 degree spherical situational awareness system (F35)and this system will be used in shenzhou Spaceship too.

和F35一样的东西...全球仅有F35和歼20两家现有....当然F22现在是没有的..至于毛五的那个包包..还是算了吧..

I think it's likely the j-20 has an f-35 das like system, but it might not be installed yet. I'm not willing to say which of the shapes or marks on and around the aircraft could be windows for the arrays though.

What's more interesting is if the j-20 will have a dedicated irst and if it's stealthy like the f-35s and growth hornet's

It would be extremely remarkable and unprecedented, afaik, for the first prototype to have 'finishing touches' like MAWS, IRST and all the other bells and whistles usually reserved for pre-production models installed.

I would not get too excited about them being anything too fancy until there is more evidence. If it can be shown that these are MAWS or stealthy IRST, then that would be further evidence to suggest that this is not the first prototype as I have suggested all along.

On this pic you can see some mysterious small dots on the right DSI bump in a somewhat regular pattern (the left one is in the shadow). Wonder if they are just left over marks from manufacturing processes or something else.

They just could be divets. The DSI bump on the FC-1/JF-17 has them. The divets are like on a golf ball and makes it travel further. Air travels smoother over the curvature covered in divets.

Ordinarily, that may be true, but this is a stealth aircraft, with stealth being the key indicator (relatively more important than agility, for example). They may want to minimize the surprise at the tail end of the development cycle.

Note also J-20 is painted, in contrast to the usual SOP of primers only during test flight.

The Americans apparently didn't think so since none of the JSF prototypes had things like MAWS windows or stealthy IRST installed. Those only started appearing on pre-production airframes.

How hard is it to make a single piece cockpit glass. apparently even f35 doesnt have it. so far only j20 and f22 are equipped with this.

That's self-explanatory, don't you think?

Although I am pretty sure F-16 got it too, but I guess the tech-gap (between 70's F-16 and THE 4TH GEN) is somewhat also self-explanatory.
