I came across Wikipedia on average height and South Koreans are average 5' 8"? Yeah and it was a Korean not Jesse Owens who beat Hitler's master race at the Olympics like I've heard Koreans are taught on more than few occasions. Ever read Stephen J Gould's Mismeasurement of Man? People will lie, exaggerate, set-up, spin whatever in order to make official what they want to be concluded about the differences between people. The J-20 has divided two groups among the naysayers. One camp says it's bigger and the other says it's smaller. But both their arguments are negative on the J-20. Contradiction! What does that mean? It has nothing to do with the J-20. BTW, I'm 6'.

Love how you ended it.

Not that tall in China. ;)

You would be 2 or 3" above average, and 5'11 is about average for western countries. There is a difference in average height, but its nowhere near 6".

What more, its more the older generation who tend to be shorter, as nutrition has improved, younger people in China are getting taller and taller, if they bothered to break down average height by age group, the difference would be smaller still, and those powerranger uniformed guys are most certainly not old.
Hey, 2"-3" taller than the average makes me stare down everyone else in Shanghai :p. But yes, in Tianjin I'm still only woefully average.

I, too, believe more on the theory that certain cities, counties etc have a relatively taller population rather than the theory of "north and south" as often reported by western media.

Just another estimate of the J20's vital statistics.

The diagram says J-20 is about 2 ton lighter than F-22. That would mean the J-20 has more than 10% less wing loading than the F-22! That would mean, with a powerful enough engine, J-20 should be more maneuverable than the F-22. That's assuming the calculated weight of the aircrafts are correct.

you maybe right ... remember F-22 is like 25-30 years old designed, while J-20 is really brand new design ... imagine computational power in 1980s compared to now .... perhaps in the magnitude of 10,000 at least ?

Like comparing my first computer of Apple II+ in 1984 with 48KB RAM and 1 MHz CPU .... to my current computer Intel core i7 with 12GB RAM and 3.2 GHz Quad core 8 HT
