1/48th(?) wind tunnel model undergoing test, notice the internal weapon storage.
edit:美联航空 is based in 西安 isn't it? From their company website, they do a lot of military aircraft models. Perhaps this is just that, as opposed to a win-tunnel test model.

I visited the company site as well; these are indeed models, but very professionally made. A lot of their products are not for hobbyists purchase, but rather for professional purposes, such as training and scientific analysis, this includes wind tunnel.

Quick question, do wind tunnel testings die down when real test flights go into full throttle, or do they keep going until all the plane is finalised?

I did stumble upon the original 2 photos while browsing. They were indeed labelled "J-20 performance tests" (J20飞机性能测试) under the "unmanned aircraft systems" album (无人机系统). I'll share them once they are approved.

If the flight tests show problems that might have to be resolved by changing the shape of an aircraft greatly it might be useful to test an adapted model in the wind tunnel. Smaller changes can be tried out on the prototype directly. After all that prototype has the right scale, stiffness &c. When testing a model the test results might have to be corrected for such things.

display model based on internet photos containing some obvious mistakes (DSI bumps are way out of correct shape) - yes.
wind tunnel model - no way
everyone who has seen these or attended wind tunnel at least once will tell you so
