It could be intentionally blocked. Yesterday I was able to access it but not now.

Edit: Correction. The home page can still be accessed but that link is not working for some reason.

It's amazing the amount of information fans can find. I bet the CIA and other intelligence agencies would probably save more money and get more done by coming to sites like Sinodenfece instead of launching those expensive espionage missions.

I highly doubt the CIA would need to do that... they've got their satellites that can see through walls, solid rock, etc., sleeper agents all over the country. I'll bet all the Chinese systems are bugged too. They bugged that presidential plane China ordered.

We cant be sure how much does the Intelligence Agencies really know, but i agree that maybe some intelligence collector lurks this forums... the level of amount of information (disinformation) is huge. But the fact we started talk about this OT... means that there isn't much new information about J-20... the mos t important thing that i make of the article (now missing) is the unofficial confirmation of the J-20 designation bringing to an end the discussion of its design purpose (j-20 no JH-20 or Q-20) like someone point out.

And China has walls no satellite could see through as well as know exactly when foreign 'birds' would be overhead, so they can move things they do not want others to see into cover beforehand.

All Chinese government agencies used domestic computers with specially designed anti-hacking features as well as Chinese operating systems. All of the really sensitive stuff are stored on independent secure networks that are not physically linked to the outside world at all, so there is no hope of external hacking in.

As for bugging the presidential plane, well that worked so well that the plane didn't even make it out of the shop before the Chinese noticed the bugs and ripped them all out.

As for the CIA's human intel, well I think they recently made a drama of what happened the last time they decided to send agents to China as a cautionary tail for their people.

The CIA has never been well regarded for its human intelligence operations. What they are good at is electronic surveillance and code breaking.

The CIA no doubt knows a great deal more than what is openly available. But that does not mean they are anywhere near as all knowing as you seem to think/hope.

Friends as i said, we cant understand a country's intel from open sources ... avoid entering and argument about it and derailing OT... does anyone still think that the J-20 is designed to be more of a striker than an air superiority fighter???

Yeh, CIA is got eyes and ears everywhere! But somehow missed the 19 terrorists that BLEW UP WTC, screws up the intelligence on IRAQ WMD program, and don't even know China has J-20 until now. :D

Russian analyst who analyzed the aspect ratio, aerodynamics and center of gravity of the J-20, think it's not very maneuverable, and is design as a strike fighter (or strike bomber). Go back about 20 - 30 pages, I think there is a link to that article.

I personally think this issue will largely depend on the engine itself. Will CAC be able to develop a very powerful thrust vectoring engine is the root of the matter. Will the engine be able to do thrust vectoring? Will it have 190 kn thrust? Will it have high thrust to weight ratio?? If engine cannot meet these requirements, it will become a strike bomber. A stealthy one. :D
