pilot might be elevated to J20 AB himself, a possibility instead of full instead of
full AB conversation

how does it confirm that? It's quite possible the first couple of batches were 20 jets, but that doesn't say much about following batches. For example, J-16's normal batches are 24 jets, but they also had couple of batches of more than that.
