Welp…for a landmark event this big let’s hope they’re a little lenient…
Hard to say it's a landmark, he isn't the first arrested military fan. Taking photos or videos of classified areas and then sharing them has been deemed illegal for many years.

This guy was caught red-handed while operating the drone near the shipyard in 2021.
This is the report

, containing three cases. Two of them were discovered on the spot, and the other one uploaded his photos to an online map (Google Earth, I guess). They all received probation. I think the purpose of choosing to disclose these cases is to remind military fans not to violate the law for ostentatious purposes.

Dudes are getting arrested for taking/posting photos nowadays. Crack down has gotten a lot worse. One guy got sentenced to one year in prison for flying a drone over Type 003 and it made national television.
He overdid it, as well as, he spread it to the extranet.

The shipyard clearly knew that there were military fans who took short flights just to photograph the aircraft carrier, as well as the fact that military fans hired fishing boats for at least ¥30,000 to take pictures when the carrier was launched.

I would interpret this as a protective measure to warn the fans, because the shipyard did catch someone even crazier who could be considered as "talented".

No I’m saying WS-15 on J-20B is a landmark event, so I wish for leniency with the opsec restrictions around sharing photos of it.

Multiple rumors from credible sources are suggesting that J-20 with two WS-15s has at least performed a taxiing test today, maiden flight could be imminent.
Would it be safe to assume this was done on the new airframe (J20B)?
