You do realize that it is an array of many sats instead of a single ultra large sat? Each individual sat is no more power demanding than any sat in the space today. Using an array is exactly the reason to solve the problem that you talk about.

We don't have data of availability of J-20, we know that nearly half of F-35 stock are not in capacity of doing mission because of maintenance headache. In 2022, availability rates ranged from 54 percent for the F-35A and F-35B to 58 percent for the F-35C.
Would be awesome to have data on J-20.
Didn't we have some vague stuff or something that basically pointed out that availablity rates for PLAAF was all around better over the whole board?
Like I think I remember it as J-20 reaching 70-80%+?
It was in Patch’s now deleted video. Yes I recall hearing a ridiculously high number for availability rate.
Would not be that surprising how neat and clean Chinese fighters are.

Maintnence is not an issue because frankly 200 planes are nothing to country size of China. US is only struggling because it has much higher number and use them intensely for war. Of course China can maintain 1/4 of US number and using them half as intense. Or is 1/8 maintnence capacity of US too unbelievable?
Speaking of Patch, I am inclined to believe the recent Discord leak is legit. The information reported may very well be fake and edited, but there was a legitimate leak. Maybe this is why Patch is no longer posting in public. There must have been an internal crack down on people with clearance posting on internet, and Patch is one of those with clearance.
If you have a copy of the now deleted video, Patch says 85-95% for the J-20 at 1:10:35. Then at 1:11:03, he says 85-90%.
Frankly high ready rate for a great power is expected, it is the poor American rate that is abnormal.
