Sorry. Rough week for me. Will take note in futureThis is a serious thread. We don't post stupid and funny contents here.
yep and they were shown in several conventions as well, but then afterwards all public released photos or videos of J-20 all featured vintage helmets being worn. Not sure why they don't want to showcase the HMD, it's clearly a huge step up from the "granny lens" ones carried over from Soviet era.It seems like those hmd helmets were used during j-20s maiden flight
AFIAK these designations are not official (actually I can't think of any instance of an official outlet using designation such as J-20A or J-20S) but what you've posted seems to be the designations that most people accept =PI am quite confused with the various names being given to different versions of the J-20. Is the list below correct?
Russian engines: J-20
Domestic engines: J-20A
Twin-seated version (+ domestic engines): J-20AS || J-20A/S
Why do most of the footages show the J-10 doing unrelated things when the narrations speak about the J-20 doing some specific thing? The video seems to be a long meandering way of saying Rafale will be used as point defence interceptor, which would give it some advantage in combat over J-20 carrying out long range missions.Here is a reminder that video channels with millions of subscribers still produce fanboy junk. Subscriber count means nothing in quality level.
China's J20s Can Now Carry Two Pilots, But Can They Match India's Rafales at the LAC?
Straight to Huitong's blog you go.I am quite confused with the various names being given to different versions of the J-20. Is the list below correct?

I was just following the same approach of the post that I had quoted; and demonstrating that with his approach the conclusion should be exactly the opposite: WS15 needs to be accelerated.Not really. They have nothing to do with each other. Regardless of whether or not WS-15 is ready, Chinese military development still needs to accelerate; there is always more to be done. In the midst of this heated competition with the US, there is simply no time to celebrate. The Chinese military must bury its head in its work for so long it has loses track of time and everything else, and when it finally looks up, it is to realize that it has become peerless in the world.
No amount of willful desire for acceleration gets around the test time requirements for a new piece of technology. You cut down test time and you increase risk of problems that can slow you down later. Fixing a mistake once you’ve already committed to production costs much more time in and effort than catching a mistake in testing. You can only squeeze in so much test time in a day before hitting a hard limit. They’re probably going as fast they can with WS-15 testing. Not everything is possible just because you command it. General acceleration of your capabilities development does not necessarily equate to specific projects.I was just following the same approach of the post that I had quoted; and demonstrating that with his approach the conclusion should be exactly the opposite: WS15 needs to be accelerated.
Now to your point, of course there’s absolutely no context to associate Xi’s words with WS15’s status. Xi does not need to micromanage down to WS15 level. If he indeed has to use the word accelerate against WS15, then that means WS15’s status is really disappointing.
Anyway I will stop digressing.
why not train with HMD helmets? we know those are available and have been used on J20 before.
