That’s the KJ-600.
Some people claimed they saw J-20 with TVC flew at CAC, but there’s no official news yet. What's the milestone that First Aircraft Institute talked about? 5 months ahead of schedule.

*If* a J-20 is flying for integration testing reasons that means the production engine design has been locked, so barring serious unforeseen problems I think the timeline for serial production is maybe 3-5 years away. But that’s conjecture on my part. Now the question is, If the rumors turns out to be real, then how many WS-15 have actually been fitted on the J-20? If there's only one, then we are still a long way off the eventual serial production goal.
wait a sec, I'm confused, so you didn't noticed the change of the j-20? or didn't think the change of inlet is because of the ws-10?
No I don't think so. If it's about that, it would have been reported. BTW the section opened is from Lhasa to Nyingchi, not Nyingchi to Yaan.Re: Xi Jinping visit to Chengdu area
Could this be more related to the opening of Sichuan-Tibetan highspeed railway on June 25, 2021 (Nyingchi-Ya'an line) which btw passes VERY close to the disputed Sino-Indian border near Arunachal Pradesh.
Could Xi Jinping be more visiting to inaugurate that HSR line, rather than visiting CAC / J20 related event?
