So nice looking, but when I see landing pictures, I imagine it on a carrier landing and tearing off these ventral fins... they are not even that low. It would nedd a major redesign anyway to fill that niche.

Wow these are great pictures. The second picture is my new desktop background
It is just a Russian "Minnie Chan" or worse. Minnie Chan at least claims "according to internal source", this guy does not even bother to do that. Instead he saidI'm just calling bullshit on the 1350C cap claim. The AL-31, FFS, has an inlet temperature of 1400C.
If in November 2019, publications began to appear in the Chinese media, in which it was asserted about a "breakthrough" in the creation of these engines, then the information vigor in this regard faded somewhat.
The reason, as it turns out, is the unresolved problem
Russian sources like to denigrate Chinese capabilities to fuel their export market. There are areas where Russia is ahead of China (laser dazzler on Su-57, design set-up of Su-57, engines), but in many other areas (stealth materials, avionics, airframe construction), Russia has fallen behind. It is just a Russian "Minnie Chan" or worse. So firstly, he used Chinese media as the source about breakthrough, then he made "faded somewhat" and its "reason" from his one back-end without any source.

Laser dazzler on Su-57?? ummmmmm that's something no one's heard of.
I think China is well ahead of Russia in lasers. I don't think it is for airframe construction. At least definitely not clear.
China is probably world leading in lasers. Certainly in crystals it is. Russia isn't exactly well known for lasers but everyone got some toys that can burn small drones. Big deal.
Where is the Su-57's dazzler's port? Is it the bubble on its back for aiming at missiles approaching from the rear as the plane is turned away from approaching missile? Are there any credible sources that mention this?

Money is a major factor on fielding new tech, the integration and production rate of J-20 is a prime example. New information is so scarce right now that we are going everywhere in any threads...I would not bet on Russian stealth materials being any worse. But fit & finish not to mention avionics sure. China leads there.
China has a much more advanced electronics industry than Russia.
China has also proven to be able to iterate on technology a lot faster. Just look at the helicopter helmets for example. If that translates to the fighter helmets then China should have leading edge fighter AR/VR helmets this decade.
