Machine gun testing? Does that mean the J-20s will be fitted with a cannon in the future?Commemorative armband for J20's successful machine gun testing

much excited, about internal gun.The fact that tests have been accomplished is well known since years I think and I think common accepted understanding is that most likely no. 2022 once was fitted with a gun.

Another factor to take into consideration is the DSI, which doesn't work well beyond mach 2, so the engine would run into boundary layer ingestion problems beyond mach 2. I think if the PLA wanted the J-20 to fly at mach 2+, they would have opted for an intake ramp.Due to practicality reasons none of the stealth fighter aircraft can operate above Mach 2.0 in operational setting for very long. You have to consider things like RAM paint, weaponsbay doors, etc. the F-22 is technically capable of M2.35 above speeds but is limited to 2.0 in real world conditions.
DSI speed limit is a myth. It’s a dumb shorthand just like canards can’t be stealthy.Another factor to take into consideration is the DSI, which doesn't work well beyond mach 2, so the engine would run into boundary layer ingestion problems beyond mach 2.
