Was Surfing the web when I came across this article on the j20's AESA radar written by china aerospace studies institute which uses a 2016 Weibo article as a source . How credible/accurate is this report?

TLDR:
-Article suggest j20 radar upgraded beyond capacity of type 1475 (KLJ-5) radar
-j20 now has the capability to integrate 2200 modules
-detection range is 120 miles compared to f35s 80 miles
-quoted from the article which quoted from Pakistan defence forum
"With a high number of T/R modules, the Type 1475 would be vulnerable to radar warning
receiver (RWR) systems such as the ALR-94 without a very capable low probability intercept
(LPI) mode.… Even if the Nanjing Research Institute of Electronics Technology (NRIET) or the
China Leihua Electronic Technology Research Institute (607 Institute) was able to develop
sufficient packaging technology that would enable 1,856 T/R modules within the J-20's nose, the
density of the T/R modules would create significant cooling problems,”
Bad

(Just in) According to a latest CCTV report, a J-20 unit crossed Tsushima Strait in a previous mission. Meanwhile, we never saw any of such news coming from South Korea or Japan. Which means no one ever detected J-20?!

J-20 report.jpg

Map: (The strait is so narrow, making it an impossible mission to cross & remain undetected, especially for unstealth planes.)

In addition to patrol over Tsushima straits, I think 巡航台岛 (patrol Taiwan island) is more revealing. If they used the words 巡航海岸两峡 (patrol over Taiwan Straits), then that is far less significant.

Based on the photo, “强军先锋飞行大队” should refer to the 1st Brigade at the Anshan Tengao Base.

The same content has appeared in previous reports about this unit, but it was not linked to the J-20.
This should refer to the action of the J-16 escort bomber squadron entering the airspace of the Sea of Japan during the joint air patrol operation between China and Russia.
IMO this is just a lazy military PR department copying and pasting old articles to write a formulaic piece, but forgetting the temporal differences in context. It was only after everyone discovered the differences and treated it as big news that they hurriedly made corrections.

With so many years in service, J-20 already flew over Tsushima Strait, but both SK, Japan, & US in the region almost never report its existence. It shows J-20's fantastic stealth capability.

This program also read the same script like us. The author & CCTV are playing us with random combination word games.

But the question remains. Though we're uncertain whether J-20 already flew cross Tsushima Strait, I indeed feel strange why so few news about J-20 detected/engaged news came from SK, Japan, Taiwan and US after J-20's massive depolyment & activities in the region for 5+ years.

By far we only have this, and it's 2022 then. So There's only one explanation!

“We notice that they are flying it pretty well. We recently had – I wouldn’t call it an engagement – where we got relatively close to the J-20s along with our F-35s in the East China Sea, and we’re relatively impressed with the command and control associated with the J-20.”
“We’re seeing relatively professional flying and it’s still too early to tell exactly what they intend to do with [the J-20] – whether it’s going to be more like an F-35 that’s capable of doing many, many missions or more like an F-22 that is primarily an air superiority fighter that has an air-to-ground capability.”
“The KJ-500 plays a significant role in some of their capability for long range fires,” says Wilsbach.
“Some of their very long range air-to-air missiles are aided by that KJ-500. Being able to interrupt that kill chain is something that interests me greatly.”

It's simple logic: China has no need to deploy the J-20 over international waters in peacetime without using the Luneburg lens. What would be the point of doing so?
