Yea I didn't trust that video since from the other security camera footage and weibo posts I saw there was only one boom.

Have you guys considered the possibility that they were two separate fighters taking off hundreds of miles apart?

Timestamped footage and netizens reports of time of sonic boom suggest it was one supersonic flight from Mianyang to Xi'an.

I won't be suprised if a J-20 with WS-15 can fly supersonically today. But I do not think a sonic boom can tell this. The boom happens because an aircraft breaks the sound barrier, not because it turns on the afterburner.

BTW: 2000km is ridiculous, it's about the geodesic distance from Chengdu to Ulaanbaatar
