Sorry … maybe not directly Q1 but by late 2025 could be possible
Orca gave Q1, 2025 date ..
Can confirm. I've heard claims as early as next batch too.

Also, apparently the J-20AS we saw doesn't have WS-15s, but rather a further developed variant of the WS-10C, which I previously dubbed the "WS-10CXX."

I've heard rumours that the latest production J-20s (still with WS-10Cs) are already incorporating the dorsal bump. A transition model between J-20 and J-20A - somewhat akin to the J-10B?

That doesn't make a lot of sense. Rather than a transitional model, what the rumors are referring to is likely the initial J-20A production run using WS-10C engines prior to switching to the WS-15.

exactly this is the case..

WS-15 is a brand new machine. so it is very much possible that, they redesign or modified WS-15 nozzle a little. this is very common development process for any brand new machine/equipment.. so this has to be WS-15 Engines..

Exactly my point ... not that I want to dismiss Orca's or @Alfa_Particle's claim, but IMO it makes no sense to fly several J-20A prototypes with the WS-15 and then return to yet another WS-10CXX (unless the WS-15 had some issues)

yeah. even as per Orca WS-15 approaching to serial production stage. its been under LRIP stage for almost 2 years. design has been finalized.. all these are official information from AECC.

LRIP means production engine.

so its either WS-10C or WS-15 engines with little modification in nozzle.
