fr6 from FYJS froum, who is said to be working in AVIC Chengdu, once said that J20 performed gunfire test. He indicated that the gun could only be alternatively installed in the bay rather than being a built-in weapon.

Well J20 is not designed for dogfight after all...I think it is reasonable to remove some weight given that the gun is not so necessary in most tasks where J20 may be involved.

Well, this can serve as a nice example of the importance of linking the source. Instead of seeing if yankeesama actually said there's no gun, we get to read the eighth edition of the SDF gun debate, even more informative and civil than all that came before it.
