ok this was asked by a friend two minutes ago and I can vaguely remember in the early days of J-20 testing, the walls of the inlet (of DSI) is reported moving back and forth depending on air speed? any such topics are discussed here? or I am delusional

No evidence for these movements but adjustable DSI was speculated due to the existence of a strip of paint close to the leading edge of the intake. We actually still don't know why the strip was there but adjustable DSI seems the less likely of various possibilities.

Uh guys, it says @7:55 that the J-20 is using a "Chinese-made Engine". And CCTV-4 is normally credible. If I'm wrong, feel free to call me out
