About serials, it is well known trick to give inflated serial numbers to aircrafts or to change their serial numbers from time to time, to confuse enemy intelligence. So, as newest member of SDF, you all have much more experience about watching Chinese Armed Forces, do you know for any such case in China?

Nearly fifty years ago I read about a B-52 carrying a serial number that belonged to a B-52 of another variety. I never was knowledgeable about B-52 varieties but I got from it that you shouldn't do it if some people can recognize the deception easily.

So Deino wishes the machines had their serial numbers??? (I do too)

Seems to me that the aircraft themselves may have the serial numbers on them.

My point in German was that maybe someone was lulling his leg.

On other words, maybe someone PSd the numbers off just to get at Deino.

Just noticed a minor but interesting detail: the IRST-dome seems to be already a real one and not as so ofen previously a mock up during the maiden flights.

Its hard to tell with stills, but he's definitely pulling a little "vapor" off the wing-tips. Very nice pictures, especially nice to see him pulling to the "vertical", he doesn't appear to be in burner, so he's likely pulling off of a high speed pass.
