I fail to see what's there to be disappointed about. It has been known for a long time that J-20 is expected to be in service around 2018 and 2019. Assuming that J-20 with WS-15 needs three years of testing, we wouldn't be seeing J-20 with WS-15 installed until 2015 at best. So, the fact that we didn't see WS-15 in 2013 is completely normal.

As to former forum member MiG-29, he referred to the J-20 as technology demonstrator for no reason other than sour grapes. Every single feature on J-20 is a bad design coming from his mouth. That has been the case since his very first post after J-20 first flew. He just couldn't accept the fact that China can surpass Russia in building a true stealth fighter. You are making a big mistake in taking his statement seriously.

Oh and for me, I only extract things I find useful, and when people post large amounts of assertions that are useless, I completely ignore them. I do remember how he did go on and attempted to claim the PAK-FA was better with almost an entire page of "sources, claims, references", and some other ridiculous things he's said (where he attempted to use stories of China buying engines to say the WS-10A doesn't work or something). Overall I guess I'm just cautioning or concerned the dangers of groupthink.

The lead up usually yields good news for these things, if the last few years are anything to go by.

@ Jeff... are You getting old or tired !!! All the images You posted in the last three treads are old ... very old (sorry to say so)

Anyway I think we are getting closer to the real J-20 '2011' or '2003' ... come on, and if You like "just leave Your hat on" !
