Not sure how You come to the conclusion of 8 !! It is well known that there are 6 by now: 2001, 2002, 2011, 2012, 2013 & 2015 !

It was more of a question than a conclusion, I was counting 2003(if it exists) and 2004 as separate airframes. But still even with 6 its great progress.

Then sorry, but to admit for whom ever who follows this scene quite actively should know that there are "only" six out there ... and You are correct, even "only six" are more than impressive.

I doubt so. The angle of the pictures taken are different. The top one is from the quadrant view while the bottom one is from the aft bottom.

Does anyone think Chengdu will put more changes to the J-20's aerodynamic frame in later prototypes? It seems further development of avionics and materials, and the waiting period for 606's new engines seem to be their priority now.
