Now I look at it again, I think the nozzles are the same after all. Still, the one the right just looks off. Something is definitely not right, but I can't articulate it.

It seemed to me in a few pictures that the black bars/bands on one nozzle was darker than the other. That would create the illusion that one is smaller than the other (because we see more black). It's also possible that we're seeing pictures of one nozzle being more constricted than the other. If that were the case, the nozzle that was more constricted would appear to have darker black bars (since they'd be closer together). Anyways, just a preliminary opinion on my part. Maybe I'll take a more careful look later.

How do you guys know that these 2012 pictures are not photoshops ?

Root of the LERX is of different colour covering, maybe they have some sensor inside or maybe it is to reduce RCS since it is close to the moving canard. I believe the 2011 prototype does not have that.

Could it be sideway looking radar which with the main ones in front and ones at the back could give 360 coverage around the plane?
Though I am not sure what's the effect of a moving canard right beside it, maybe the edge or the whole thing could be made to be non metallic?

Massive canards, they are comparable in size to the V tails. Maybe that tells us that they are meant to work closely together or even kind of complementary and definitely not only used for trimming (?)
