Quickie

Colonel
I must say, the enlarged twin tail stings do look remarkably conspicuous. I can't imagine that they aren't mounted with some kind of sensor or array.

I would say the modification was done for some aerodynamic reason. Imo, whether this presents a good opportunity to mount sensors is in addition to that and not the actual reason for the modification.

Might as well post some more. It's a special occasion after all ;)

I must say, the buttocks look a fair bit more attractive now.

Is this a bring-your-own-bag-of-sand party? :D

Someone's cousin or uncle or something who works in construction probably had a tractor at hand, either owned or borrowed from an employer, and decided to take the thing for a ride to the sandbox for a few days :D

Over-exposed to highlight the contours...

Other changes I noticed:

1) the front of the canard seems to integrate with the forward fuselage better.
2) the "ditch" between the two engines appear wider and deeper.

Overall, am I the only one who thinks that the New LERX will generate weaker vortices? They made it straighter and narrower, almost like a proto-compound delta wing. Also, the LEX in front of the canard has been removed.

As far as I can tell, that just looks that way because the canards are currently deflected upwards.

Eventually they do need to handle that. Sharp corners are not conducive for stealth.

I wonder if they are going to use membranes to cover the connecting parts between the flaps and the wings as well.
