i let this guy sorta pass by since he did mention it's PS, but for most of the other ones, i really don't get it. are they trying to troll people? or what r they doing?!

Fanboys like us brother, if I had a clue??? I'd be the PS king, I love airplanes, nothing would please me more than being able to create some of the beautiful images I see PSed, so likely just guys like us, who have a little talent to show the "what ifs", makes life interesting, I still have one of those very sharp images from a couple months ago that shows the J-20 with the gear in transit as my screen saver. When I was getting a divorce 21+ years ago, I drew an awesome ink Light Attack Turbo Prop with tip tanks, I finally must have worn it out, but I copied it numerous times, I was quite proud of it, and a few other people liked it as well. So its just a way to express airplanes as they might be, you should try it, air and see how they come out????

I'm almost sure she will fly today (even if "Bltizo" is correct with his statement) simply since in about half an hour I will leave home to a family visit ... I will travel to my parent, I'm driving along the German Autobahn for hours and worst of all I will be offline for about three hours ... as such she will fly and I won't see the images until I'm home.

So enjoy the show and save all images for me, PLEASE !!!!!

You can certainly decrease the 3 hours if you, you know ... COME ON BUDDY IT'S THE NO-SPEED-LIMIT AUTOBAHN!!! :D

I think the new lighter tones shows off the J20's curves a lot better thank the older dark green one.

Wrt changes I think everyone has the major ones covered, like new EO sensor under the nose, redesigned intake, clipped tails, braced canopy and new HUD etc. I just think slightly lengthened tail stings should be added to the list. Just compare where the streaks end on the original J20's sting compared to 2011 and you can see a clear difference.

I can't wait to see this new bird in the air!

To admit regarding the engines and its nozzles, I would not expect anything spectacular.

I would even go so far that all these high-hopes regarding a specialised AL-31FN-M2, a TVC-nozzle, an uprated WS-10XYZ or even a WS-15 prototype are simply fan-boy's dreams.

The most likely option if there's anything different than on 2001 and 2002 it would be an AL-31FN Series III (which is nearly an AL-31FN-M1 - which in fact dies not exist with this designation) + some special feathers maybe or again that silverish surface.

An AL-31FN-M2 is simply not possible since this engine is still on the bench test in Russia (as an AL-31FM-2 not even with the gear-box relocated as far as I've heard), the 117S is impossible without any Su-35-contract and why should the test anagin a new prototype with a new engine like an even more new WS-10-version ??? .... and the WS-15 is even more far, far away !

As such even these reports about "it sounds different to" are most likelöy "I want to hear something different, ... oh wait listen, can You hear it, it sounds different to a regular AL-31FN !".

PS: anyway I'm online again and I want it NOW !!!!!

I'd wait for a recording of the 2011 before deciding whether the engines sound different or not, but changes in acoustic signature might be caused by several factors not directly related to the type of engine, so it wouldn't necessarily be definitive.

Can't agree more. Most likely just to test the new rear RCS values with these nozzles
