Although the picture is fake. However, every kind of fighters serviced in PLA carries unguided rocket pods shown in photos. I believe that J-20 will not be the first exception. :D

I may be remissed in the future but I think the PLAAF has got to be some weapons grade stupid to put unguided rocket pods on the J-20 other than for air shows or photo op etc.

maybe unrelated to the J-20 here, but related to the rocket pod question.

During the latest Zhuhai Airshow, China presented a semi-active laser guided rocket for its 90mm rocket pods they love to use so much. The specs arent bad, as its range is 8km and would have a very accurate and simple guidance mode, enabling the PLAAF (and the PLA LH) to finally make their FFARs into guided weapons.

Similiar systems were tested and employed by the USAF as well:

Very nice catch Assasin, and there is only one J-20 visiable, so that is prolly 2001 prior to 2002s arrival? AFB

Well if the date is correct... before 2002 left Chengdu and around the time of the J-31 flew. A lot of stars almost aligning. Too bad whoever took this shot wasn't able to take a family photo.

That's a great picture comparing the size between J-20 and different aircraft.

Yeah. The image totally confirms that the J-20 is a 23-25 meter long behemoth.

On a serious note. Notice how both the MIG-1.42 and Su-47 are the same size or bigger than the J-20 but no one calls them fighter-bombers or pure interceptors???

Thats right siege, but the J-20 does call the MIG-1.42 Momma, nobodys ever seen the Mig1.42 in a decade and the Su-47 was never serious, but the J-20 is fairly lengthy as well as rotund, and all that mass, well, # 1 I have never nor do I now believe the J-20 has any roll as an Attack Aircraft, and #2 the Western definition of interceptor is a LONG RANGE, Fast Fighter, designed to go out an stop the bad guys, the J-20s picture is in the dictionary in that role, and I can't for the life of me determine why that is an insult, nobody's saying it won't turn, it will quite likely be very agile, but it is what it is and the laws of physics are what they are.
