wild speculation: a have a hypothesis that ws15 may be a 2-2,5 ton engine (russian way of measuring engine weight- western way) with a diameter of around 1,4 or so meters. And that current j20 are flying with structural interface between engine and inner fuselage (ballasts) around al31 to simulate the extra weight distribution.

There is little doubt that the J-20 has been designed around the dimensions of the larger engine, but it is unlikely that the prototype carries extra ballast, as it is NOT fitted out with all the heavy radar and fire control equipement that is located forward, when the WS-15 is installed it will likely be on an LRIP aircraft rather than one of the prototypes. brat

Latest J-20 prototype equipped with full avionics and radar set for in-flight testing. Unsure if additional weight physically added to simulate WS-15 but a similar flight profile could be programmed without the need. Could be possible the airframe is modified to extend AL-31 from the body if WS-15 is different enough in length, in order to match position of thrust.

I guess they made the wall tall enough that not even standing on a car you still can't see.

For expert wall-climber, this wall is still not tall enough.

From the photo posted by Zool, the back of J-20 is very very very long. In Asia, especially in Vietnam, people believe that long-back people are lazy. Is this a lazy bird? Is it me alone or anyone else has problem with the long-back of J-20?

Looks like there's a police car coming up the road. If there are regular patrols the wall climbers are going to have a hard time. They're going to have to perch themselves on a tall building in the area now. At least we know they don't want anyone seeing what's new on the J-20.

Actually... from that pic, I don't think you need to climb the wall... you just climb a tree next to the road and use a telelens (maybe of 600mm or so focal length and a high quality DSLR, you should be able to get quite a good view of what is happening in the camp.

You don't even needed to be in the area... climb that tree, put the camera there, link it with your smartphone with wifi and you can remotely shoot into the camp.

Looks like a taxi to me.

There were pics of them building the wall but I haven't seen a completed wall until now. There's another pic where the wall is shorter but it's in an area where the wall is not near to the road. It seems they were thinking about people standing on top of their cars.
