J-15 with Taihang.
...

Could it be that this is already a serial J-15S ?

If you compare with the original prototype (at least the first images), then it had originally always green tails, whereas this on is painted in the same standard yellow primer like all serial J-11/-16.:confused:

I concur, and I can't wait to see this chick in carrier quals, promises to make the transition, much easier, or at least less lonely???? LOL

We have spoken of this for some years now...and now we are seeing it happen.

IMHO, it was inevitable. This bird is going to be, IMHO, a completely operational war fighter and not a traiing bird..

A two-seater can be set up to work several very complimentary missions to the J-15 air-superiority and attack role.

SEAD missions, Electronic Warfare, Heavy, long-range attack missions, etc.

It will indeed be a very neat thing to see the PLAN place a squadron of six or so of these aircraft on the Liaoning nd furutre carriers.

I just checked the J-15S collection on my harddrive and to my big surprise noticed, that already on 30. March 2014 we had an image of such a yellow J-15S ! :D ... so either the original prototype (see first image for comparison) received some yellow tails or this is a second "S" ... or .... :p

If I have power to choose, I will buy more two-seat J-15S than single seat J-15.
