That classroom is epic !, Nice sofa !Training new carrier aviators...
ok so what are we saying now how many J15?
from from blogspot we have the following
Batch 1 and Batch 2 = 24 units
Batch 3 = 30-35 thats 6 units
and also 60-73 thats 14 units
Total Batch 3 = 20 units
Batch 4= 74-87 so thats 14 units
Total J15 = 58 or enough for CV-16 + CV17 24+ 24
for 003 they have 10 left so I would expect a batch 5?
or maybe a mix of 24 x J15 + 12 x J35 for 003
The best is just good enough for the "Glamour Boys"That classroom is epic !, Nice sofa !
Well maybe they splitted the nose gear doors. In this old image it also looks like 2 doors.View attachment 79918
Could be a change to twin doors..? Also courtesy of Fighterman on weibo.
Dian is J16DD for Dian (EW) or SU-35 counterpart?
While I'm not saying that the real thing has split doors for the nosegear, the picture you showed is of the "J-15T demonstrator".
That is to say, it is a catapult compatible J-15 demonstrator.
The picture that Sofa is talking about is one from Oneninety that supposedly depicts the first production "J-15B".
That is to say, it is the catapult compatible J-15 intended for service/production and missionized in a manner for it.
For all we know, the "J-15B" could have additional minor modifications that the "J-15T" didn't have (such as split doors for the nosegear).
At this stage we can't rule it out, until we have a clear picture of the proper "J-15B".
The "J-15T" demonstrator at this stage is not very useful in telling us too much about what the details of "J-15B" will look like.

In fact, if we look at the recent picture of the J-15B taken from the front, I could almost convince myself that the nosegear door does indeed have a half that opens to the left side of the plane...
(The same thing mentioned earlier in the thread here: J-15 Carrier Multirole Fighter thread)
But obviously we need to wait for clearer pictures

Not sure if it's just the back of the right engine... we will need to wait for sure. While I'm not saying that the real thing has split doors for the nosegear, the picture you showed is of the "J-15T demonstrator".
