I believe there is so many false fact in this article To begin with Liaoning is not "Home body" She did sail to SCS with her escort
Another myth is J15 has poor weapon load and only use as fleet protector and not as offensive platform. But SU33 did bomb Syrian rebel. Henri K has an article disputing this false assumption . Here it is google translate. Bltzo is expert in J 15 weapon load Any comment. There are too many picture to post in here. So need to open the link to understand this article

Weapons load inferior confirmed max 2/3 of the max yet confirmed by many experts... but in more don' t have all the A2G weapons panoply used by US F-18s including designator pod.

He provide a good capability with a CV less sophisticated too build but her military capacity/power especialy A2G is clearly inferior.

Also to consider J-15 is better mainly more versatile than the Su-33 and have a better radar.

That is some incredibly well-researched stuff by Henri K. Thanks for the link.

OTOH, that dude Kyle Mizokami is a real piece of work. I sometimes doubt he believes his own hyperbole .

And as many Chinese Internet users said today: "The biggest fan in the world of the United States is none other than China" - the answer is no, the Chinese will not use their carrier groups as the Russians but rather approximate the American model, therefore Western.
Big problem is, current net result is rather limited version of the American model.
In every aspect.

Correct. But US is the hegemon and China is not. A large difference in position which leads to different strategic and operational needs and thus to different equipment choices even when China can learn a lot from US methods.
