All of a sudden Uzbekistan has better planes than even Russia itself!

I wonder why would a country in Russian sphere of influence agree to buy Chinese fighters. My impression was, Russia strictly protects former soviet countries from Chinese influence especially in the military realm.
Uzbekistan economically very close to China. BYD has large factory their so China has influence.

Does Russia have the manufacturing capacity to provide the weapons?

Central Asia is a shared sphere. Russia can't hold it alone since the Ukraine war.
Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan had HQ-9 HQ-12 (KS-1x) a decade ago.
Only Kazahastan is militarily Russia. Tajikistan has a Russian military base and is close to Iran.

Supposedly a rich Middle East country wants to take a look.

Is it possible that china is open to a deal for 4-12 fighters for a country like Qatar? maybe more like 24-48, but they buy fighter in a very low numbers from a lot of different countries for political relations -- bought fighers from the US, France, and Eurofighter from UK, Germany and Italy...etc.

And maybe they'll make a deal to deal with a certain security measures to prevent any US operations to get information, and Qatar's air force is mostly from Pakistan. It's too risky, but can happen, and most of the Gulf have the same problems, especially the fear of US espionage and operations, but this risk can be mitigated.

I hope Egypt seal a deal fast enough, so that they don't get stuck in the back of a long row of deliveries and back logs, as they face a lot of threats, but money is a big problem.
