I would not say necessarily that there are no strings attached, my impression is purchase of Rafale's is more to gain favor with France and for example Croatia after singing to buy refurbished Rafale's that then finally we were allowed in Schengen zone. Another is I would not be surprised if Serbia bought brand new Rafale's to stave off any sanctions related to Russia be it them placing on them or getting sanctioned for trading with Russia with certain goods and services. Basically a bribe United Nations Security Council core member, this being France.

Supported by Y-20s with a SAR Z-20K that can be nicely folded and transported in a Y-20.
Top it off by a YY-20 refueler that an Egyptian MiG-29 actually took fuel from.

If the EAF ends up buying the J-10C, then it would become the only country (thus far) to be able to game out exactly what happened between Pakistan and India on May 7th.
