Yankeesama covered the intercept during his podcast. Major takeaways.
1) J-10S is from Jinan where they have both J-10C and J-10S. He confirmed that J-10S uses WS-10 for ease of logistics since J-10C are new and use WS-10.
2) Canadian plane carried a reporter. They planned the thing in advance and tried to provoke PLAAF into close interception.
3) The Canadians are using “nuclear monitoring” as an excuse especially given the current geopolitical climate with Sino-Russo-NK rapprochement. The whole thing just gives US ally an excuse to snoop around within First Island Chain where important assets like Chinese nuclear subs are stationed.

J-10 looks quite a bit larger than F-16.
Amazingly, the USA allowed PAF to use F-15 and F-16 against advanced Chinese aircrafts.
The Pakistani Air Force never had any F-15s. That F-15 belongs to the Royal Saudi Air Force.
