If PLAAF went for such low visibility markings scheme then there should be a logic or strategy behind that, correct?
Low identification markings will make it harder for western intelligence apparatus to track exactly how many planes the PLA has in its inventory, where these planes are based, trends and movements of these planes (i.e. planes from a certain base tend to patrol or respond to a certain area), modifications and upgrades made to certain batches (implications on capability and mission sets), and ultimately the underlying strategy of the PLA.
All these are important factors in formulating an air tasking order, how to adjust current offensive/defensive counterair tactics to go up against the PLA, as well as the overall war fighting strategy against the PLA.
