Yes, you have a lot of fun by confusing many peoples including a certain German numbers-nerd and several hyperactive Pakistani fan-boys who instantly claim these J-10Cs without any markings MUST be destined for the PAF. ;)
It's been blown out of proportion on Indian and China defence forum.

My question still remains unanswered .....

Pardon, ... I think it has indeed a certain benefit in the sense I posted. It is much more difficult for spotters and analysts alike to identify the numbers and as such to track down certain units. If it changes a lot in a true aerial dogfight, I don't know, but it is surely less visible than the previous red/yellow ones.

Improves opsec by massively raising the bar on photo quality in order to read tail numbers.

Basically cell phone cameras are useless now for tail numbers at the ranges they are realistically likely to get to military aircraft, and you need big professional lenses to have any chance of getting those now. That means Chinese security forces can safely ignore the excited civilians and their new cell phones and focus their efforts on the ‘professionals’.

This means low visibility markings has no strategic value .....

Oh, you explicitly meant "strategic value"!?? ... but pardon to return the question, why should it or please explain where any markings on a military jet had any "strategic value"?

If PLAAF went for such low visibility markings scheme then there should be a logic or strategy behind that, correct?
