Copy of the design. But when producing they use local components and usually improve on the original versions. Same goes to YJ-18, HQ-16, HQ-17. Fully indigenouzing gives China added security and reliability compared to just importing.

They are always there but most often covered.

J-10C(?) in the upcoming movie Sky Hunter. The helmet is movie prop, but the oxygen mask is real. Also note the production serial on the pilot's seat: J10C0213; Assuming it's real, 13th of batch #2?
