In end of 80s, A high-level delegation that j-10 chief designer with it, visited of lavi project. In 2008 Jean's website Reported Israel transfer many technology of lavi project radar and avionics to china. Like pl-8 missile or harpy uav.
And now some claim that part of j-10 avionics Provided by elbit system and some USA company
About the Combat radius. Each aircraft have Specified Combat radius for example basic version of jas-39 combat radius 800km whereas smaller than mig-29 and j-10A and carry the short fuel .
Do you think just by visiting Lavi project you can transferred the design telepathically ? What a BS
Israel is so dependent on yearly grant of 5 billion US $ or even more billion dollar. Do you think she would risk all of those money by giving the secret of Lavi to China
You must be dreaming.
I guess you must be someone who can't accept or acknowledge China achievement. I know most people from China southern neigbor has this mentality
J 10 is the brain child of Dr Song Wenzhong and further development of failed J 9 that precede Lavi . It take china 18 years to develop and involving hundred of institution and university!
It is disingenuous to depreciate their achievement. Just because it resemble doesn't mean it is copy every G4 fighter look similar to each other Sweden JAS 39 Grippen has also delta wing and canard does it mean a copy of Lavi. BTW Lavi never entered production It is still in prototype stages
J 10 represent breakthrough. It s the first fighter with flybywire technology and it is totally home grown. We even know the chief designer Yang Wei who is now take the charge of J 20 design
Development was delegated to the 611 Institute, also known as the Chengdu Aircraft Design Institute and was nominated as the chief designer, as he had previously been the chief designer of the . The aircraft was initially designed as a specialized fighter, but later became a multirole aircraft capable of both and missions.
The J-10 resembles the The general designer said that J-10 was a development of the indigenous J-9 which preceded the Lavi. This was echoed by a PLAAF's major Zhang Weigang in a 2012 interview.
