That was the point that I was making with my last sentence. That it ended up badly for both countries. But it was impressive none the less and that China perhabs can pick up the pace just a little.

China's fighter fleet of jets and attack helicopters like the J-10B/C, J-11B and the Z-10 are expanding about 30 to 40 a piece each year. Not very impressive. Just look at the US Soviet military buildup in the 1980's they are each doing the multiple of that each year for their air forces and then some more you have the nuclear arms race, the space race, the race to build nuclear subs, the race to expand their strategic bomber forces (something that China hasn't started yet), the race to build more ballistic missile's nuclear and other kinds and fighting proxy wars, building overseas bases and propping up client regimes all over the world at the same time. Now that was a military buildup !
But then again that's the period that the US turned into a net debter nation and never looked back. And the USSR is no longer with us.
Despite what sensationalist media would led you to think, China and America are not embroiled within a Cold War. China's current production pace is adequate for the near future.

You have to look at it this way---the modern day fighter aircraft or any other major weapons system is 10-20 times more potent than what it was some 30-50 years ago.
So---the fire power has not diminished but increased + the accuracy of the weapons has seen a tremendous upshift over the decades.

It did look like an RC models.
That's definite a RC model. No real aircraft can do that kind of move and no human pilots can survive that.
Judging from cockpit of the J-10 at 1:10 compared to 1:05 it looks to be a rc plane. The canopy looks to be painted black at 1:10 compared to the clear canopy at 1:05. Also the landing gears it looks like its from a rc plane. It's unlikely that a fighter jet would perform stunts with its gears down. Just my thoughts.

You can also tell it's RC by the way the smoke trail dissipates so quickly as the J-10 being small in scale.
But it's (J-10) looks too big for an RC in my eyes. Or is it Unmanned?
