It's more a fourth generation fighter than a third generation plane. The JF-17 is clearly a third generation one.

Ditto, the PLA 4th gen fighter will be equal to the 5th gen of the west. J10 is suppose to be a 3 1/2 gen (4 1/2 nato standard) according to western media.

The paint job they've given it is probably the best for any Chinese fighter yet... It's a bit blurry, but there's no major contrast between the radome and fuselage...
Now if the PLAAF can make the designation number and ensign on the plane black and white instead of Red and yellow then it would Awesome!!!

the aircraft is not fitted with DAS (distribute aperture system),F-35,F-22 MiG-35,and EF-2000 are all fitted with DAS.this provide 360 degree passive detection and tracking of incoming target.

I am pretty sure that Saudi Arabia does not operate F-16's...

Are you perhaps referring to the United Arab Emirates?

Any proof, WHY do You think that ?? ... as long as no data or reliable information about the EW-systems / radar / avionics are available, all these statements are completely worthless.

Besides that , You are correct, since Saudi Arabia doesn't have any F-16. :rofl:

The J-10A is highly unlikely to be a 4.5 generation fighter. There is nothing in what we know of it currently to suggest it has achieved the standard of 4.5 generation fighters. The J-10B is a more likely candidate, but this remains to be seen.

one thing though, if J-10B isn't much better in A2A combat than the latest USAF F-16C or the F-16C that might be sold to Taiwan, China would never have went ahead with it.

And also, using .5 or .75 generation is just a marketing ploy. To pla, J-10 and all subsequent variants are just 3rd generation by Chinese standard and the next generation project under development in CAC is just 4th generation, that's it.
