Does anyone know when this picture was taken ? If this is indeed a new picture of a J-10B with a AL-31 engine then its probably a production plane. And has anyone else notice that the refueling probe is missing. The refueling probe is also missing with those other pictures of the J-10B in the hangers as well. They are probably testing the ECM systems and the likes here.

It can never be a production plane with testing conducted this way.

What is it resting on? Why are there like circular covers on the landing gears and what's the stuff on the ground?

Can anyone answer for sure if the J-10B is really in production. And do anyone have the numbers of how many J-10 and J-11's China can produce each year ? I have seen figures that China is able to produce about 36 J-10 and perhabs 24 J-11's per year but that's quite a time back. Are those figures still accurate ?

I was about to say myself, that it looks as though its been left in the wrong neighbourhood and now sitting on bricks after its wheels have been nicked!
