I think that people think that the engine is taihang just because the nozzles look "shinnier" than usual.

I reckon it's pretty much agreed there's only one production line for J10A so far, judging from the 1-2 regiments per year production rate. Since J10B is about to replace J10A production, it's more likely for them to convert the existing production line other than build another.

I guess they would stay at current capacity untill the export market becomes available.

Recently it has been announced in Serbian media that J-10 is about to be offered to Serbian Air Force since it is searching to replace its aging MiG-21 (33 aircraft of that type, most of which will be put out of service by the end of 2013.) and MiG-29 (3 single seat and one twin seat, recently overhauled, but not modernized) fleet. It is expected that Chinese delegation visits Serbia in next few weeks. J-10 has already demonstrated its flight performance to our defense minister during his visit to China in august this year.
Other contenders are SAAB JAS-39 Gripen, Eurofighter Typhoon, MiG-35, Su-30/35, F-16 and F-18. Considering very limited financial capabilities of my country, I believe that J-10 or JAS-39 is the most probable choice, although MiG-35 has also very good chance since we already operate MiG-29. Most likely that best offset deal will win this race.
